It was a lovely Sunday. As usual, Christian of our group gathered in a small room on Ben Chuong Duong Street to worship God. At the end of this ceremony, Truong Son droped in my seat whispered: “all the youth were waiting outside. Let’s go. We had a small party for you on this day”. Then I followed him to the group.
We spent the party tenderly but cheerfully at a refreshment bar on Nguyen van Cu Street. There so many bars like that one were opened and they sold almost for students of Teacher University nearby. The food named “Bo bia”, it’s one of delicious Vietnamese dishes. Although we ate not much of them because of limited budget, it’s actually a good chance for us to sit together among ourselves talking, sharing God’s stories, sentences and getting our relationship closer and closer after all.
No big gifts were given on that birthday, in fact. But more significant of all, my new brothers and sisters clustered round me and each of them said their prayers then praid for me with all kindly, and best wishes. So warm was the party I still remember clearly at this present.
A few minutes before we said goodbye, they gave me a gift as a representative for all of them to celebrate my important day. Moreover, Ms Hang, Ms Mai, Ms Thai An, and Truong Son presented their own spirit gifts for me. Until now I always bring it with me and remember it in every time of my life-to-God. It was cards with meaningful sentences, promises drawn from Holy Bible which meaned so much to me on my new direction to God.
I loved our God’s family because members all ‘re simple, nature, kind and truthful. What next is the same sacred love we received from Jesus and shared to one another largely. It is that holy affection had brought strange persons into a nice union that nothing inclusive of Luciphe could break. I dare to say it.
We are brothers ... forever ... in the name of Jesus Christ. Surely it’s . Amen!
